Well, things are still going well here in Iberia. Our latest news is “movie night” we are projecting a Christian evangelical movie every Wednesday night and are having good turnouts. I think the kids enjoy it most but we get a few parents that come.
We have over grown the little room that we do church in, so a few weeks ago we did some remodeling. We have moved a wall about 5 feel and that gave us enough room to actually have rows of seats. It feels so much bigger even though I know its only 5 feet.
Please continue to pray for the spiritual growth of the people in the church here. Also for health for us missionaries here, we went threw about 3 weeks of one of us not being healthy enough to do much but lay in bed.
Holidays!!!
WOW!! Hard to believe that it’s January already. we had a wonderful time here over the holidays with a dedication service in San Lorenzo and a Christmas Eve service here. We drank hot chocolate and ate panatone (a Peruvian tradition).
In the service on Christmas Eve we had two young men come that had never come before so that made our group about 10!! It has been amazing to be apart of God building up a group of believers from nothing when we got here to 10 people in just two months.
During the holidays we took a break from the discipleship classes because people had family over and stuff. And so this week we started up again and things are going better than ever! The people missed us and are happy that we are back. And on that note it is good to be back to work. It is amazing to see how much of an impact we have made in these peoples lives and we really feel like we are apart of this community.
One of the first ladies that we met here is Guadalupe and we have been discipling her and visiting her and her family for two months now and just this week Friday the 8th she accepted Christ into her heart and is hungry to learn more about Jesus and the Bible. Praise God!! Please keep praying for her and the rest of her family so they can see her example and follow.
We have added another day for church services! Thursday! So now we have services on Sunday in the evening, Tuesday in the evening, and now Thursday in the evening! And the exiting part is that it was the people in the church that asked for this not us! We like to see this kind of dedication in new believers! It is very encouraging. So now between San Lorenzo and here we are doing five church services a week! Praise God!!!
Well, that’s the news for this time, please check again soon and may God bless you and all you do.

This is some land that the Church is trying to get.  It will serve as the pastors house and church building.  This is also the first place we started evangelizing here in Iberia and we have 4 people we are giving classes to.  Keep praying for them, Kathy, Andres, Marco and Cinthy so they can continue to grow in the faith..

Welcome!!  Welcome to Iberia in the Madre de Dios region of Peru.  This small but thriving metropolis has about 5000 inhabitants, most of witch are farmers and lumberjacks. Me (Andrew Kendall) and my Peruvian counterpart arrived here about one month ago in November. We have been working as the missionaries/pastors here planting a new Church of the Nazarene. There is already one member of the Church that lives here and we use his house as our base of operations as we strategically reach this part of the world for Christ.
