Love Extreme 1 - June 16, 2010 in Puerto MaldonadoPosted: 06/22/10
We shared devotionals during breakfast in the mornings. Today was the last devotional in Puerto Maldonado. Kaylee shared about how we are the church and God’s hands and feet. We went to Wendy’s area after breakfast and passed out water to people who hadn’t had any in four days. It was hot, dusty and the sun was shining directly on us. One lady said she had prayed for water and it was like it came directly from Heaven. We passed out 5,000 liters of water that day.
The work was hard, but our hearts were wounded by their poverty and we wanted to do more for them. We prepared for another kid’s festival in the afternoon and invited kids from all over Callie’s area. Rico Cuy (guinea pig) came to play and we shared the evangecube, songs and we played the parachute game.
We showed Mary Magdalene in the evening at the same park and had a large crowd. Team members sat and talked with neighbors in the area and made friends.
Our ministry week in Puerto Maldonado ended on a good note. The next day all of us traveled to Arequipa. We have seen God act in many ways this week. We look forward to praying for the people of Arequipa.
