Several years ago Bruno Radi began the construction of a dream. His dream was to build a place where people from all over South America and the world could come to hear the Gospel. Some for the first time, others to receive valuable training in christian leadership. This was an enormous undertaking. The amount of resources that would be required to complete this dream was staggering, but that didn't stop Bruno Radi.
After the shocking death of Mr. Radi, the project slowed considerably. It became evident to the new leadership that conventional missions strategies were not well suited to complete this type of project in a timely manner. At this point the SAM Region invited Extreme to come to Argentina and carry on the work that was left partially completed with the tragic death of Bruno Radi.
Kidzone '07 brought over 200 travelers to Argentina and saw the completion of the sector "A" housing part of the convention center along with many evangelism and social work campaigns. Included in this work was the planting of 10new churches in the Buenos Aires Central District!
After Kidzone, the local Argentine crew continued to prep the building for completion at Extreme '08. During the month of November two small, strategic groups of volunteers came to pour the concrete floor in the auditorium and construct the massive front auditorium wall. Without this help the building would not have been ready to complete in January at Extreme '08.
January brought Extreme '08 and around 450 travelers from 15 different countries to complete the project began by Bruno Radi several years before. When the event started there was still what seemed to be an insurmountable amount of work yet to be completed. Everyone worked very hard and God enabled the workers to accomplish more than could have been imagined! At the end of the event Extreme was able to turn over a functional building to the SAM Region to be used to train future leaders and also generate income for the region to use in expanding God's Kingdom!
Even though Bruno Radi did not live to see the completion of this dream, the building will forever be a reminder of one man's vision and faith.
