Extreme Peru: Pucallpa Cluster Base

Pucallpa Cluster Base Biography

With a population of 339,433, Pucallpa represents the vast majority of urban population in this jungle region. Hundreds of small villages outside of the city limits line the river's coastlines.

The Nazarene Church officially started work in Pucallpa within the last few years by Dr. Larry Garman. As with most remote jungle areas in Peru, many villages remain completely unreached by the message of Jesus Christ.

The missionary in Pucallpa is working to start a micro-economic development program in Pucallpa to help locals who merely survive extreme poverty to develop skills and a source of income for their families. Extreme has agreed to assist the economic development efforts through its 40/40 missionaries to expand the benefits throughout the city and region.
