I grew up in a small town in Indiana and I went to Olivet Nazarene University. Although I had made a decision to follow Christ at the age of 12, my faith grew like never before when I was 19. I began to learn about and experience God's love in a way that transformed me! During my sophomore year I felt a calling to ministry. Even though I wasn’t exactly sure what that “calling” meant, but I knew I had to step out in faith and pursue it.
Things began to change dramatically after a specific time of prayer, and the verse in Galatians 2:20 became a reality – "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me." This was the beginning of a new life in Christ for me. My life was meant to be lived for Him.
Throughout the rest of my time at Olivet, I was able to serve on a few short-term mission trips to Haiti and India. Each of them have specifically impacted and shaped who I am today, and each time I traveled to a new country, I was shown a piece of God's heart for the world and for people. The more I saw God’s heart, the more I saw I had to "go," and follow Him wherever He asked.
Now, God has called me to serve Him with Extreme Nazarene in Frankfurt, Germany. The plan is to leave in August 2017 and be there for 2 1/2 years! While there, I will be working with Church in Action (Kirche in Aktion) and have the opportunity to minister to refugees, prostitutes, senior citizens, and others around the city of Frankfurt. I will also be continuing my education in Theology and learning German. I am excited to be a part of the ways God will be expanding the Kingdom there in Germany! Please keep me in prayer as I follow God's leading in this mission!
