I was born and raised in North Dakota and married my high school sweetheart, but met the summer before 9th grade. Ah so sweet! We were married May 25th, 1996; I can't believe it's been so many years already. I graduated from Bismarck State University with a Commercial Art degree and then went on to Minot State University for a Bachelor`s degree in Visual Art. We moved to Florence-Missoula area in Montana three years into our marriage. I worked in the concrete industry eleven years prior to our call.
Our first and youngest son, Wellington, was long awaited and finally born on August 14, 2009. God waited to bless us with this child in order to fill us with a passion for missions. A difficult time of waiting but his plan became clear for us on why we had to wait so long for our family.
Before moving to South America, we served as NMI co-presidents for several years at our local church (we don`t do too much apart from one another). We had committed to doing a two week mission project per year and on our fourth to Cusco, Peru, April 2010 we found out God had long term plans for us. 7 months later we moved to South America.
While serving 5 years in Cali, Colombia within Extreme hosting short-term missionaries and training church plant teams, God brought the call to adopt to each of us. And specifically to me, I felt Him saying, "I want you to know how I love you." Then in December of 2014, we were united with our second and oldest son, Ferley, who was given the birthdate of October 1, 2002.
God is always working in our lives and we continue to do what we can for Him. Please click the Wordpress link above our family photo to read all about it. God is also continually renewing my mind. And when I have time, I write about some of my reflections or thoughts. If you would like to read them, please click on any of the feed links below my bio.
I currently serve with my wife as the cluster support family of the church-plant team in Antofagasta, Chile. We moved there in April of 2016 to help the team finish the work they started several months earlier.
